What is pixton? Why are we using it for?

Pixton Nowadays, the strip is very popular and common in our culture. Especially for those who are planning to be a teacher or even work with children. ME ! :)  You don't have to be a gifted draftsman to make a strip with pixton. Everyone can do this by using pixton. Nowadays, everything had to be fast and quick, even for teachers because we don't always have that much time to make something special. We don't have time to take whole stories to is.  The videoclip and comic strip are therefore among the most popular cultural expressions. Except for the fact that you can share comics with the world, you can also use them to explain complicated things quickly and easily. Perfect to use it at the primary school because the way of teaching is not always explaining things just by giving them the theoretical part. Sometimes children enjoy to get education in a fun way without them even realizing that they get educated at that time. With pixton, everyon...

Digital story : Video of our story about the picture

Our professor showed us all kinds of different pictures. She told us to pick one. Afterwards she asked us if we could make a story about the picture which we had chosen. I chose a flamingo, so I created a story about an ostrich who wants to be a flamingo. I chose to make a story with a moral in it. My moral was that it doesn't matter were you come from, or how you look because everyone is beautiful en good just the way they are.  I decided to create something about this moral because I had some issues about my self-esteem in the past. And I had to learn how to be happy with who I am and the way I look. Even though it's not always easy, I am happier than I was before. I accepted myself for who I am and it made me a totally different person than who I was before.  So after the story which we had to write, we also had to transform it into a digital story.  And this is my result.  I made a short movie of the story and I hope you will enjoy it! :)  ...

We made one story about the two stories that already existed. Afterwards we have tried to made a comic strip out of it and this is our result!  You can find the combined story in the post below.

Combined stories about our own country

Once upon a time, there was a fisherman that lived in the woods near a castle with a big pond around it. He was happy because the pond provided him with everything he needed for himself and his family. Even though he didn't cared a lot about money, he earned form time to time some silver pieces. There was something special about the pond though, not only was it, the passage to the other part of the country, it was also guarded by a giant called Draon Antigonus. He watches over the pond, from inside of his castle. He could overlook everything and discover everyone who wanted to reach the other side. If people wanted to cross the pond, they need to pay a heavy toll, their hand. So everyone was scared of the giant. No one tried to even cross the pond anymore so there were no hands cutting off anymore. That is why the fisherman lost his job because there were no hands anymore which he had to pick up. Deeply dissapointed, the fisherman went home. When he came home, he found out...

Erasmus : Which impact does the urge for freedom have on the development of our youth?

The urge to travel is getting higher and higher among the young twenties: not only do they travel more and more, they also choose to complete their studies abroad. But from where this big interest to the unknown? What impact do these experiences have on our personal development and above all; are there any disadvantages to that exploration? In addition to the pleasure trips, more and more young people choose to follow an internship or training abroad at one or another time in their student career. A trend that is welcomed by our open and freely obsessed society, but what are the pros and cons of these studies or internships abroad? First of all, Erasmus students can get to know other cultures. A human has always been a curious creature and because of the fact we can travel around the world more easily, we can let that natural exploration run more and more free. For example, we can visit other cities like Sintra, Coimbra, Evora. We can explore the history of each city and learn mor...
